Originally hailing from a small town in Upstate, NY, Owner/Chef Derek moved to Nashville in 2005 to pursue a career in the Music Industry. After a few years working with various artists throughout the Country Music scene as a Tour Manager, Derek decided to come off the road and settle down with his now Wife (a Nashville Native) to start a family and life off the road. Anyone who knows Derek knows he is a natural born "foodie" and enjoys creating new dishes with authentic flavors. With Upstate Pierogi Co. Derek wanted to pay homage to the classic Polish pierogi that he grew up on, while also bringing a new modern twist by creating some other unique and fun flavors. He is excited and proud to be able to finally introduce Nashville to these high quality delicious little pockets of heaven. Keeping to the traditional "hand-pinched" method, each pierog is made with careful attention to both flavor and creativity for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.
